This page contains a brief description of some of the software applications that Business Application Developers has built over the years. The software languages and environments varied from application to application. There are examples of software applications written in FORTRAN, COBOL, Perl, C, VB, Access and RPN on this page. The hardware environments range from mainframe computer all the way down to hand held calculator.

Data Architecture

• Lifecycle Modeling: An application which manages the metadata from LCM analysis and the integration mapping between the work streams. The application also auto-generated LCM reports, Use Cases, Event Flow Diagrams, Comparison reports and Lineage Reports In Word, Visio and Excel output formats.
• Application Portfolio Manager: An Application Portfolio Management tool. designed to a be data driven to the point that new hierarchies and metadata items can be created on the fly. The program dynamically created Visio diagrams of the transaction pipes with respect to time.

Data Conversion

• Alaska Student Loan Program: Converted the data from a legacy state student loan program into a customized commercial ADABAS database package.
• BP and ARCO merger: Converted the oil production and exploration databases from BP and ARCO into the Finder Oracle database. .

Financial Trading Software

• ICE Trading: an electronic oil trading application that interfaces with the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). The application allowed the Traders to enter buy and sell orders for energy products and automatically monitored their progress. The orders could be linked to other orders and the prices could fluctuate with the market.
  

Health Care Software

• Sleeplab: An application which features enhanced scheduling of doctors, facilities and patients. The scheduling feature allowed the facility to schedule beds for sleep studies. The data entry features allowed the users to record the patient's photo, medical history and test results.
  

Plotting Software

• XPI: An application which plots downhole casing, stratigraphy, lithology.and log data and correlated well plots according to subsea depths and faults. The plots were created in CGM format and later converted to JPG format.
  

Process Control Software

• RGV Valve Replacement: A Wonderware application that was part of an ether-net upgrade project for an 800 mile pipeline. Data from the valves and meters was gathered as OPC data from the PLC. The HMI interface allowed the controllers to operate the valves and featured a fail-over channel (satellite) to provide redundancy in the event of a fiber break..

Reporting Software

• PHRED: The Pipeline Historical Reporting and Editing Database application collects half hourly meter data from an oil pipeline, performs calculations, issues alarms and delivers reports in TEXT, CSV and XLS formats via FAX, FTP and EMAIL.
• DOT Reporting Program: An application that creates monthly DOT reports for an Air Cargo carrier in the required DOT format.
• Labor Data Collection: An application which would interface with the Payroll, Common Transactions and Work Management systems..

Simulation Software

• MIDAS (Miscible Injectant Distribution and Allocation System): An application which performed a simulation of the effects on Oil production. in a field where some of the wells were used to inject miscible fluid and regular intervals to enhance oil recovery in neighboring wells.
  

Transportation Software

• Air Waybill System: An application used at the counter to rate Air waybills for various cargos and destinations. .
• Weights and Balances Calculator: An Application running on HP 48G hand held calculators for loading cargo on 737s. The modified program allows for variable floor and ULD configurations. The program along with a system and user manual were submitted to the FAA for approval. .
